Our people are committed to playing it forward and making a positive impact in their communities. Whether through fundraising or volunteering, they go above and beyond to support the causes they care about.

Employee Giving

Every year, BCLC employees hold charitable giving campaigns to help better the communities where we live, work and play. Our people proudly support the Kamloops and Lower Mainland chapters of United Way through various fundraising events and employee-giving initiatives. During the holiday season, our Christmas Charity Committees bring holiday spirit and cheer to local communities by raising funds to support non-profit organizations and families in need.

Play it Forward Volunteer Program

The term Play it Forward means not only giving back financially, but also donating our time and skills to make a difference. Because our employees have such diverse backgrounds and interests, our Play it Forward Volunteer Program provides them with the flexibility and paid time off to volunteer with the organizations or causes of their choice. From sorting goods at the local food bank, serving at a soup kitchen or mentoring high-school students, hundreds of our employees are driving positive change.

BC Gaming Facilities Charity Golf Tournament

BCLC staff, casino service providers and suppliers play it forward every year in support of the Children’s Wish Foundation, an organization that works to bring dreams to life for children who are battling a life-threatening illness. Led by a team of BCLC employees, the BC Gaming Facilities Charity Golf Tournament raises funds to support this important organization. The 2016 the tournament raised more than $70,000 to send seven deserving children and their families on a once in a lifetime trip.

“Over the past few decades BCLC has raised over $575,000 for the BC and Yukon Chapter of the Children’s Wish Foundation. We are so proud of BCLC employees and their service partners who have become so passionate about wish granting. The BC Gaming Facilities Golf Tournament is now the chapter’s largest annual community event!
