supporting communities

A strong relationship with the community means a lot to us. It's more than about being a good corporate citizen; it's something that is a part of who we are because we live here, too.

As a corporate sponsor, BCLC helps communities across BC by supporting events and celebrations that bring people together.

Our employees are often a key part of our community initiatives and sponsorship activities. Read about upcoming events that we are sponsoring.

If your group is interested in submitting a proposal for sponsorship, please refer to how to apply.

Helping charitable and community organizations

In 2006/07, 6,000 charitable and community organizations shared in the profits from gaming revenue through government's community gaming grants. These groups work to provide valuable community services in the areas of arts, culture and sport, the environment, human and social services, public safety, and parent advisory councils in schools.

The Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch of the Ministry of Housing and Social Development manages the distribution of community gaming grants. Use the map feature below to find out how organizations in your community have benefited.
