LOTTO MAX is the nationwide lottery game that starts with a $10 million jackpot. When a jackpot reaches $50 million, LOTTO MAX goes into MAXMILLIONS™ mode. When in MAXMILLIONS™ mode, each $1 million over the $50 million will be drawn as an individual $1 million prize, called MAXMILLIONS™.

For a $5 play you receive three selections of seven numbers ranging from 1 to 49. You can choose your first selection of seven numbers, with Quick Pick providing the other two selections of numbers, or you can choose to have all three selections by Quick Pick. Each selection is good for the Main Jackpot, each prize category and any MAXMILLIONS™ for that draw.

Quick Pick

Ask your lottery retailer for a Quick Pick and let the computer terminal choose your numbers for you. Advance Buy is available from 2 to 26 consecutive draws. You can add up to ten Extra per ticket.

Selection Slip

LOTTO MAX selection slips are available at any LOTTO store in B.C.

Choose your own numbers (seven numbers from 1 to 49) using a selection slip for one selection of seven numbers; the remaining two selections will be completed via Quick Pick by the lottery terminal. You can add up to ten Extra per ticket. Advance Buy is available on selection slip play from 2 to 26 consecutive draws.

Advance Buy

Advance Buy is another way to keep ahead of the game. You can buy from 2 to 10 consecutive draws when you purchase a pack and 2 to 26 on standard play. You play the same numbers, but you'll need to check your ticket each draw as you would a regular lotto ticket.

$12 LOTTO MAX Pack
$12 LOTTO MAX Pack is a Quick Pick ticket consisting of two plays (six selections) of LOTTO MAX, plus two Extra. Advance Buy is available from 2 to 10 consecutive draws. Additional Extras, to a maximum of ten per ticket, are available at a cost of $1 per selection.

$20 LOTTO MAX Pack
$20 LOTTO MAX Pack is a Quick Pick ticket consisting of four plays (12 selections) of LOTTO MAX. Advance Buy is available from 2 to 10 consecutive draws. Additional Extras, to a maximum of ten per ticket, are available at a cost of $1 per selection.

$40 LOTTO MAX Pack
$40 LOTTO MAX Pack is a Quick Pick ticket consisting of eight plays (24 selections) of LOTTO MAX and two free LOTTO MAX Extra. Additional Extras, to a maximum of ten per ticket, are available at a cost of $1 per selection.

$10 Lotto Pack
$10 Lotto Pack is the convenient "all in one" lottery package. It includes 1 play (3 selections) of LOTTO MAX, 1 play of LOTTO MAX Extra, 1 play of Lotto 6/49, 1 play of Lotto 6/49 Extra and 1 play of BC/49.

$20 Jackpot Pack
$20 Jackpot Pack is a great way to play LOTTO MAX, Extra, and LOTTO 6/49 at the same time. Its three plays of LOTTO MAX with one Extra and two plays of LOTTO 6/49. $20 Jackpot Pack is printed on two separate tickets. The first ticket has $15 worth of LOTTO MAX and $1 worth of Extra and the second ticket has $4 worth of LOTTO 6/49.

No additional Extra selections are available. Advance Buy is available from 2 to 10 consecutive draws. Advance Buy is available on a game-by-game basis.

For example: Advance Buy on LOTTO MAX and Extra portion of $20 Jackpot Pack will be for consecutive Friday draws.

Combo Play

Combo Play is a convenient way of playing multiple selections for LOTTO MAX. You can choose either an 8 or 9 number Combo.

When you choose a Combo 8 or 9, the selected numbers are mixed together into every possible selection of seven numbers.

Here’s an example of the 24 selections created when you have the numbers 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 and 8 as the first selection.

The numbers 11,12,13,14,15,16,17 and 18 as the second selection and the numbers 21,22,23,24,25,26,27 and 28 as the third selection on a Combo 8.

Note: Combo 9 is created in the same way, except you pick nine numbers.

Although Combo Play tickets only show the numbers you selected, all possible seven number selections are stored in the computer system’s memory.

Either Combo 8 or Combo 9 selections can be chosen by the player or generated by Quick Pick. You can add up to ten selections of Extra per Combo Play ticket.

How to win

LOTTO MAX is a weekly draw that takes place every Friday. Sales end at 6 p.m. Pacific Time.

Seven numbers plus a Bonus number are drawn from 1 to 49 for the Main Jackpot followed by seven numbers for each MAXMILLIONS™ draw, if in MAXMILLIONS™ mode.

In order to win any jackpot, you must match 7/7 numbers (from 1 to 49).

Bonus number

The Bonus number is the eighth number drawn. There are two prize categories for the Bonus number.

In one selection of seven numbers, matching six of the Main Jackpot numbers drawn plus the Bonus number wins the 6/7+ category, or matching three numbers of the Main Jackpot numbers drawn plus the Bonus number wins the 3/7+ category.

The Bonus number does not apply to any other prize categories.

MAXMILLIONS™

An additional seven numbers are drawn for each MAXMILLIONS™ jackpot.

Matching seven of the seven numbers drawn for the corresponding $1 million MAXMILLION™ jackpot wins that jackpot. Each MAXMILLION has its own draw of seven numbers.

Odds
