John McLernon

John McLernon is President of McLernon Consultants. Previously, he was Chairman and CEO of Colliers Macaulay Nicolls, a global commercial real estate services company from 1977-2004. Mr. McLernon started his career as a financial analyst with Canadian Pacific before joining its property development arm Marathon Realty in 1967. In 1977 he became President and CEO of Macaulay Nicolls & Maitland and was instrumental in the employee purchase of the company and the formation of the Colliers Macaulay Nicolls Group in 1985. Over the past two decades, Mr. McLernon has guided CMN through steady business growth, successfully completing some 30 mergers, acquisitions and startups in the Americas, Asia Pacific and Europe.
Mr. McLernon has a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University.
He is currently Chair of BC Rail, the BC Lottery Corporation, A&W Income Trust, Village Farms Income Trust, Syscan International, Director of The Vancouver Opera and The Vancouver Foundation.
