The No Play At Work policy prohibits every lottery retailer and their employees (anyone involved in the sale of lottery products) from purchasing, playing or validating personal lottery tickets at their location of employment.
This policy is part of a comprehensive package of player protection initiatives BCLC has put in place to ensure that players can play with full confidence.
Compliance
Compliance with the “No Play at Work” policy is monitored by BCLC through a mystery shopper program administered by the Corporate Security Department, through the prize claim process and by reports or complaints that may be made by players or retailers.
On January 1, 2008, BCLC started publicly reporting on disciplinary actions for non-compliance of No Play at Work and other policies. Learn more about policy compliance.
