Casino on Broadway closes its doors
British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) announces the closure of Casino on Broadway.Located in the Holiday Inn at 709 West Broadway in Vancouver, the casino opened in 1986 as British Columbia's first permanent casino facility.

As an added convenience for players, BCLC has extended the hours of our Prize Payout Offices which are now open later, until 9 p.m., on Thursday evenings and open on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Consumer Advisory: BC Lottery Internet Number Checker
The BC Lottery Corporation wishes to notify Lottery players who use BCLC's Internet Number Checker to check lottery results that a technical issue has occurred. On February 8, a software upgrade inadvertently prevented draw results from being presented correctly by secondary BCLC web addresses. The problem was identified and resolved on March 30, 2007.

Questions About Lottery Retailer Practices
In response to a media outlet's request for information under the B.C. Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (the Act), British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) released the number of lottery retailers who won prizes of $10,000 or more since January 1, 2000 and information about BCLC's investigation into fraudulent lottery claims since January 1, 2005.

Responsible Play Information Centres open
Recently, a new responsible gambling education and problem gambling prevention initiative was introduced. Responsible Play Information Centres are operating at two of B.C.'s largest casinos – River Rock Casino Resort in Richmond and Edgewater Casino in Vancouver. The pilot project is the result of a strategic alliance involving the Province of British Columbia, British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC), gaming service providers, the City of Vancouver and City of Richmond.
