- Where can I get problem gambling information?
If you or someone you know have issues around controlling gambling behaviours and are looking for help, please click here for more information.
- Why can't I see the entire control number on my validation slip?
For security purposes, when an advance buy ticket has been validated, or when a prize over $200 is won and cannot be paid out, portions of the control number on the validation slip are displayed using asterisks. This step has been taken for instances when a validation slip is misplaced or left at a retail location.
- What is the Weekly Transfer-In Limit on PlayNow?
The Weekly Transfer-In Limit is the maximum amount (set by you) that you will be able to transfer from your credit card, debit card or bank account into your PlayNow Wallet during a seven day period.
The Transfer does not take place automatically.
You may transfer up to $9,999 per week into your PlayNow.com accounts and set your own play limits at any dollar amount within that threshold.
If you use online bill payment and transfer-in more than your Weeekly Transfer-In limit, the extra amount will automatically be retuned to your bank account.
- I’ve had a PlayNow.com account for quite some time. I used to be able to access my account while on vacation outside of BC, but now I can't. How come?
Accessing your PlayNow.com account from outside of BC has changed. BCLC is mandated to offer lottery products to players who are physically located in BC, and your computer’s IP address is used to confirm your location. Recent upgrades to PlayNow.com amended some of the site’s features to meet current gaming regulations, and you are no longer able to log into your player profile from outside of British Columbia.
- When I deposit into my PlayNow.com account with my credit card, do you keep my credit card number on your system?
Your credit card is not stored on BCLC's PlayNow.com system. BCLC contracts with a third party payment processing vendor for all purposes relating to payment, and we do not have access to player’s personal credit card information. If you choose this payment method again, the last 4 digits of the credit card provided previously will be shown; however, we are unable to "see" any other digits related to your card.
- My deposit into my PlayNow.com account was rejected because I was over my Personal Weekly Transfer-In Limit, but the money was withdrawn from my bank account. How long does it take to be returned to me?
Deposit attempts that are rejected due to the fact that the amount exceeded your Weekly Transfer-In Limit are returned to your bank account, usually within 48 hours, but can take as long as 72 hours to be returned. Please contact your banking institution if the funds have not been returned to you within this timeframe.
- I want to register for PlayNow.com, but I don’t use credit cards. I just want to deposit money from my bank account anyway. Why can't I register?
BCLC requires all PlayNow.com customers to supply a credit card number during the registration process. Once registered, players have three options to choose from when transferring funds to their accounts. In addition to credit cards, Interac Online, and Online Bill Payments are also available to registrants.
- Why, when I'm playing the new eCasino games, do I get a warning every 50 spins?
As part of BCLC's dedication to the promotion of responsible gambling, the cumulative play warning is set to advise players when they are about to play their 50th consecutive game. Please note that when this warning is displayed, the spin occurring in the background is not an active transaction; therefore, funds will not be deducted from your PlayNow.com account. Once the message has been cleared, simply click the "Spin" button again to resume play.
