Nanaimo Woman is now Set for Life
Richmond, July 10, 2007 – Mary Bradbury of Nanaimo is BC's newest Set for Life winner. She along side her mother Lily and two siblings, Joan and Ken have won the lump sum amount of $675,000.
"My mother always said that she'll win the lottery" said Mary. Lily replied "I'm 96 yrs old; I've been waiting since the Titanic sank and knew my ship will come one day."
"My mother started to scratch her tickets when we got home and later came to me and asked what the three Cash 25 mean, I immediately yelled WHAT!!!" explained Ken.
"My mother deserves it" says Mary, who was at home when she discovered her mother had won, "I was gardening and dropped everything, and I couldn't believe it".
The winning ticket was purchased at Woodgrove Centre in Nanaimo, BC.
Plans for the prize include home renovations, a new car and helping out the children.
Set for life is a Scratch & Win ticket in which the top prize is an annuity that maintains payments of $1,000 a week for 25 years or players may take the lump sum payment of $675,000.
