BCLC gives Kamloops resident gold medal tickets for Canada Day

July 9, 2009, Kamloops, B.C. – Jeff Banks of Kamloops, B.C. is the latest winner of gold medal tickets to the 2010 Winter Games. While visiting the BCLC 2010 Winter Games Dome in Riverside Park on Canada Day, Banks entered his name into the ballot box to win the pair of gold medal 500m Speed skating tickets.

"I can't believe it, I'm so excited," exclaimed Banks. "I once coached a young man in hockey who now aspires to be on the Olympic Team: Eric Spence. Eric's dad helped build the Owen Oval in Kamloops so future athletes of all levels could train. Now I get a chance to be a part of the experience."

This summer, the BCLC 2010 Winter Games Dome is travelling to festivals around the province, sharing the excitement of the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games and giving one lucky winner in each community a pair of gold medal event tickets and guaranteeing the much sought-after accommodations.
