Quesnel man wins men's gold medal hockey game tickets

February 16, 2009, Richmond, B.C. – Bill Gamble of Quesnel is the latest winner of tickets to the men's gold medal hockey game during the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games. Gamble, who won the pair of tickets playing SportsFunder's 2010 Olympic Hockey lottery game, is now officially counting down the days to the Opening Ceremony.

"I love it. I'm a huge hockey fan. I passed the winning lottery ticket around to my friends so they could all see it," explained Gamble. "We didn't get the exact tickets we had requested on our order and now I can't believe I'm one of the few people in the world with a pair of tickets to the men's gold medal hockey game."

Gamble, a Physical Education teacher in Quesnel isn't sure yet who he'll be taking to the 2010 Winter Games. "I'm going to have fun seeing what my hockey buddies will do to get the second seat."

Proceeds from SportsFunder lottery games help fund amateur sports, including athletic programs from right here in Quesnel."

Along with the pair of gold medal hockey game tickets, each winner also receives $1,000 cash from BCLC to help with transportation and accommodation expenses.

There are currently four SportsFunder lottery games offering over 1,000 tickets as prizes to the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games: Vancouver 2010 Olympic Hockey, Ultimate Ice 2010, Gold Medal Curling, and Countdown to 2010.
